Welcome to J.C. State (of Mind). Our Sunday School team members are training to be good players for Christ. By visiting our Bible Hall of Famers (with Noah, Paul, Esther and many others), we have been learning how to build our faith team with faithfulness, courage, forgiveness and honesty.
|

As we reach for the “stars”, we reward attendance with special Sundays,. So far we have had a craft Sunday, a Sundae Sunday and a fruit salad Sunday.
Our motto is “Do the Right Thing – Do the Christ Thing”.
Along with our training, we usually have a couple of outreach programs. This year we filled emergency shoeboxes for UMCOR and have collected school supplies for those less fortunate.
Tryouts are every Sunday at 10:00am. We are always looking for new recruits. Come help us hit homeruns for Christ.

Join us in the Adult Sunday School Room for interesting and in depth discussions. Some of our studies have been about Jesus’ early ministry, crucifixion and resurrection, the four Gospels, prayer, and searching the books of Ruth and Esther.
We are here at 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. Come and help us grow!

The Bushkill/Chapman Bible Study group meets at 7 pm. on Monday nights at the Chapman church.
The group thoroughly studies and discusses the books of the Bible. All are welcome!

Vacation Bible School is usually held the week following the school year in June, Monday through Friday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30. The themes for Vacation Bible School are quite interesting and provide wonderful Bible stories. The children also participate in making crafts and playing games keeping with the lesson themes. All children age 3 through grade 6 are welcome.

The Bushkill/Chapman’s Youth Group is open to everyone in middle school and high school. We are a small group but you’d never know it by the work we do in the community and congregation. This is a very special group of kids who are making names for themselves in both churches.

We are always looking for more members and now is a great time to join us. We have many great activities planned for 2008. We start it off on the first weekend of the year with our third trip to the youth rally in Ocean City, MD. Other activities are going to the rock climbing gym and of course our return to Creation, a five-day Christian Woodstock. Last year was our first time to Creation and we went through a little bit of a learning curve. This year we’re ready.

A message from Jeremy:
I would like to thank everyone who makes the youth group possible, without the great support we get from the congregation we wouldn’t be able to be as strong as we are. The many adults that give their time to help me and the youth members: Emily Correll, Cathy Cummins, Judy Remaly and Pastor Ken play a huge role and are always there to support us. TO the members themselves: you all do a great job and have an awesome dedication to our church, youth group, and most important to our Lord. I am honored, I get to be your youth advisor and I love all of you.

Above are pictures of the Annual December Lock Up of the Bushkill/Chapman's Youth Group, a fund raiser for furnishing a complete Christmas Dinner for needy families. Youth Group members were "arrested" and taken to Chapman's "jail". They were held there and allowed one phone call to someone who was able to post bail, which consisted of an entire meal for a needy family.
